Who we are

This policy explains how 401 Pest Control ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit 401pestcontrol.ca or contact us. We are a pest control business based in Waterloo Region (Cambridge and Kitchener), Ontario.

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, service address, property type, the pest problem and any photos or details you send.

The quote form also records which page you arrived on, the referring website and any advertising tags in the link (for example, a Google ad). This tells us which advertising works.

When you browse the site, Google Analytics collects technical information such as your device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed and how you reached the site.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, schedule and carry out service, send preparation and aftercare instructions, follow up, and handle warranty visits.

To keep business, tax and regulatory records.

To understand how people use the site and to measure and improve our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information.

Services that help us run the site

Cloudflare hosts this website and receives, stores and emails quote-form submissions to us. Formspree is used only as a backup if that fails.

Google Analytics and Google Ads measure site visits and ad performance. Google Maps powers address suggestions in the quote form.

Our customer portal (the Login link) is provided by a third-party pest control software service.

WhatsApp, phone and email providers carry the messages you send us.

These providers may process data outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own privacy policies.

Cookies

Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies and similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised ads in your Google ad settings. The site still works if you block them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and service records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet legal, tax and regulatory record-keeping requirements. Then we delete or anonymise them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for marketing. Email info@401pestcontrol.ca or call +1 (226) 799-8923. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

We limit access to your information to what is needed to provide service and use reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as payment card numbers through the quote form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
